Laser : clients stories

Foot pain:

CK footHi my name is Chris and I have suffered incredible pain from arthritis since I was 13.
It began in my ankles then later in my lower back. The pain would be so high at times that it would be easiest and least painful to move around by crawling, so that's how I got around on the really bad days. I started avoiding sports because I would just be in pain the next day and it just wasn't worth it.
To reduce the pain I began taking anti- inflammatories and pain relief, up to 16 tablets a day. I stopped taking these when I was told that they may cause birth defects later on when wanting to have children. Before trying pregnancy I was told to come off all the tablets and just put up with the pain and it just became a part of my life. Most days my pain would be an 8 out of 10 for severity.
Then I heard about a treatment that Rachel was doing and thought it might be worth giving this a go, and I'm so pleased that I did. I can now get dressed in the morning without pain. I don't walk about the house heavy footed and sounding like a herd of elephants as my husband would say. My pain score is now 0 out of 10!!!
I have had a combination of a Bioflow magnetic Boost band, and Laser light therapy treatment. I wear the band daily and initially had a weekly treatment with Rachel for about 4 weeks. Then it is just the occasional treatment when needed. The results I have felt are wonderful and I would like others to give it a try, it's worth it!

 Misty strides outMisty the Schnauzer

When we came to see you about Misty our standard Schnauzer, we were almost in despair due to her persistent limp. Following an injury while chasing a rabbit, over a year ago, her left front leg had been examined repeatedly by two veterinary clinics; she had been given anti-inflammatory injections, pain medication and a course of glucosamine for 3 months. X-rays had been taken and referred to a diagnostic specialist in Christchurch, who found nothing untoward, yet Misty still had the persistent limp.
By the time we brought Misty to you, we had paid out more than her initial cost as a puppy and needed the hope of help from an alternative form of treatment. After consulting with you six weeks ago, fitting a "BIOFLOW" collar and receiving three of your "Laser" light therapy treatments, Misty has made tremendous progress. Other dog owners who frequently asked with concern about the limp, now notice her improvement too and no one has asked for more than a week now, "Is your dog limping?"
Last week Misty was back chasing rabbits with enthusiasm during a fishing trip to the lakes and she showed no sign of discomfort from her vigorous daily workouts. We are extremely appreciative of your help and the benefit that your therapy has provided for Misty and will not hesitate to spread the word about her positive results!

Thanks sincerely from Misty.

Calf Muscle strain:

Following yet another calf muscle strain I was faced with the frustration of at least a weeks rest and Physio. This pattern has been repeated regularly over several years of high level sporting activity. Admittedly I have probably never had the patience to wait the recommended time before getting back into training and hence the reason my calf muscles have never fully recovered.

I happened to mention my most recent calf muscle strain (which happened the previous evening) to Rachel and she told me about her laser. I was interested to hear some of the success she has had with other patients (the human kind as well as the pet successes). I had not previously heard of this type of treatment so decided to give it a shot. I was most impressed with the result. After two sessions I was back training! A much quicker and less time consuming result compared with what I would have faced had I stuck to my usual method of treatment with a physio.

The treatment with Rachel was three months ago and I have continued to train as hard as ever and had no reoccurrence of the injury. This after only two sessions (over 5 days) with Rachel. This result has convinced me that my first stop when I next have a similar injury will be at Rachel's place.

Poppity the Lamb

Poppity: born with contracted front legs, unable to stand, at 3 days old, when she arrived for treatment:
 Poppity 1

Over the 12 days of her treatment we used a variety of treatments, physio with mouldable splints, daily laser sessions including stimulation of the acupuncture points, and homoeopathic Calc Phos.

Poppity also wore a Bioflow magnetic collar.
This is Poppity in her adjustable mouldable splints on about day 5:

 Achilles Tendon:

After re-rupturing my achilles tendon within a 5 month period, I required reconstructive surgery on my achilles and calf muscle. The surgery was a success and required extensive rehab. Unfortunately, due to surgery nerve damage and thick scar tissue around the heel was the outcome. I had no feeling or sensation on the outer aspect of my heel or foot. I also noticed at the end of the day my achilles would ache. A few months later, I was treated with the laser, after a couple of 15 minute painless sessions I noticed "pins 'n needles" sensation around the outer aspect of my foot. I continued for a few more sessions and the pain decreased and the sensation has dramatically increased.

 Sydnee the foal:

 Sydney bornSydney knee walking

Sydnee was born with contracted tendons and was unable to stand. His legs had to be constantly bandaged to help try and straighten them. When Rachel meet Syd, he had open sores all up his legs and was only moving by shuffling around on his knees.

Sydney sores

(This is some of the sores from the splints we had to deal with )

Lucky for us, Rachel only lives just round the corner and she came by most days to laser him and help clean his wounds. At first it seemed like not a lot was happening, with the sores staying the same size and not healing. Then we were advised by a vet to leave him bandaged as long as possible so we only changed him twice in 2 weeks and no lasering. By the end of that there was no improvement in fact a couple of his sores were going black and smelling. Back came Rachel with her laser and homeopathy and things started coming right again.

 Sydney leg dragging   Sydney standing

( This is Sydnee able to hobble about independently )

At 4 months Syd could finally stand and walk and it was very hard to get him to lie back down to change his dressings. We would have to wait for him to be lying down then all dive in.  But Rachel came when we rang so we were able to laser him. I truly thought that his legs would be scarred with all the open wounds but now at 18 months, he is cantering and bucking around the paddock with only a few white hairs on his legs. To look at him now you would hardly know what his first year was like and I honestly think that without the lasering to keep the blood flow, the scarring would have been much worst and there might have been more infections delaying the healing process even more. I recommend Rachel and the lasering without hesitation and can personally say it works after being kicked in the hand during a ‘Syd session’ and was lasered by Rachel and I could feel increased blood circulation and muscle relaxation .

 Hamstring injury

I damaged my hamstring in a waterskiing accident and was in constant nagging pain in the back of my thigh for some time. I was unable to stretch my leg fully and had discomfort when walking. After one laser treatment from Rachel, I have now had a painfree year and have participated in all my usual sports without any recurring problems. Louise K Dunedin

Equine leg trauma

To get ribbons at the Nats is great so thank you for the help with Blondie, without it we would never have got placed.   The first show we won one turnout so the judge couldn't have noticed the marks. MM Dunedin

 Facial injuries

I received a broken nose due to a riding accident not too long ago.  My horse had reared up and my nose smashed into her neck - or so people tell me!!! I was taken to hospital in a confused state, and woke up the next day my face had blown up like a balloon!!! I phoned Rachel and she came with her laser.  I put on her protective glasses, and she lasered away. It didn’t hurt, the machine just made a wee buzzzy sound and I didn’t feel a thing!!

When I got out of hospital 6 days later, my friends didn’t believe me that my nose was broken. I had no black eyes, the swelling was nearly gone and I was on minimal pain relief. There was a slight tinge of yellow bruising under the eyes, but you had to get very very close to notice it. I do believe that the laser and a little homeopathic arnica and hypericum did the trick. If it wasn’t for this, I would have been black and blue!!! I will swear by it, and I recommend it to everybody.
